Network Infrastructure

Oceus Networks is experienced in designing and deploying end-to-end networks. Our portfolio includes microwave, fiber optic, Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM), Synchronous Optical Networking (SONET) and Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH), and IP routing equipment. Additionally, we have a breadth of partnerships encompassing telecom to enterprise solutions.

Microwave

Many past installations relied upon copper and fiber connections to tie remote sites into the core network. Oceus Networks recognizes that wired solutions result in a large CAPEX – industry trends are relying more upon microwave connections between sites. Our microwave solutions support short hop, aggregation and long haul.

ATM

Oceus Networks offers the latest ATM solution. While the commercial marketplace has stepped away from ATM, this technology remains the only available solution for many of our customers’ applications. Applications requiring fixed jitter and high network capacity are still best served by an ATM network. Other solutions such as Virtual Private Network (VPN), Multi-Packet Label Switching (MPLS), or Packets over SONET (POS) are often held out as replacements for ATM, but they are unable to fulfill the promises of ATM or duplicate its network control. Oceus Networks is actively offering this product line in support of our customers’ needs.

Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON)

GPON technology provides an effective solution for deploying a network topology utilizing only centralized switching. By using GPON, governments and other organizations can reduce overall network complexity, translating into reduced operational, management and maintenance expenses, as well as a potential for power savings. In addition, GPON plays a key role in delivering high bandwidth to end-users and network nodes with high-capacity requirements, increasing overall network reliability and agency efficiencies.

Oceus Networks’ GPON solution is an integral part of a full service broadband architecture, which is designed to meet the needs of fixed-mobile convergence and next generation networks. The solution can be architected to offer performance comparable to fast Ethernet while providing “burst” performance comparable to Gigabit Ethernet.

Data Networking/IP Routing

Oceus Networks has highly trained experts in traditional networking. Through partnerships, we can provide any IP networking equipment from small to full processing center. Our experts provide optimized solutions focusing on end to end solutions rather than just switch by switch configurations. As has been discussed in this datasheet, there are many options to make entire solutions rather than simply plugging in a network, to determine how a network will be used rather than assigning data ports and addresses.
