Design, engineer, and operationally deploy an in-building wireless network that significantly improved bandwidth and user capacity. Our distributed antenna system network provided Skanska and its tenants with a world-class, state-of-the-art solution with ubiquitous in-building coverage while ensuring secure data and voice communications were tested and functional in advance of tenant move-in. Skanksa’s tenants included Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, and PTC, among others.
Technical Description:
Distributed Antenna System for 1 million square feet of office space in two adjacent Boston, Massachusetts towers. The hybrid-fiber/coax DAS was integrated with carrier/wireless service provider signals, and is capable of supporting today’s private cellular networks. Two head ends, 16 remote radio nodes, over 200 antennas, and miles of fiber and coaxial cable were deployed to provide coverage of five frequency bands for over 1 million square feet of urban office, retail, and parking space. The solution includes 24/7 monitoring and support.
