Last week, Oceus Networks participated in the National Defense Industrial Association’s (NDIA) annual Special Operations Forces Industry Conference (SOFIC) in Tampa, Florida held May 19-21. SOFIC brings the military, government, academia, and industry together to discuss how U.S. Special Operations Forces (SOF) can meet current and future challenges in an increasingly complex operating environment.
During the three-day conference themed “Winning in a Complex World,” leaders from Oceus Networks discussed the value of tactical mobile broadband communications capabilities to support the SOF community in meeting its ever-changing and unpredictable missions. The Oceus Networks team demonstrated its Xiphos™ line of 4G LTE tactical solutions and ONmission for end-to-end network battlefield management. Some attendees were the lucky recipients of a sneak preview of a new product line set for release in the near future that offers SOF even further flexibility and capabilities in a new lightweight form factor.
As part of an ongoing effort to support the SOF community, Oceus Networks made a charitable donation to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation at an Industry Gives Back reception held during the opening evening of the event. SOWF supports the military’s Special Operations Forces and their families by providing college scholarships to surviving children of fallen service members, offers family & educational counseling, and gives immediate financial grants to severely-wounded service members.
Oceus Networks is looking forward to participating in this premier event that supports the SOF community again next year at SOFIC 2016.
